FRP opens new office in Southampton

As the UK transactions market continues to grow, FRP Advisory has launched its 24th national office. The move sees FRP’s corporate finance and restructuring services enter the local Southampton market, as it seeks to support clients in the south of England.

With over 520 people and 79 partners across the UK, FRP Advisory is a specialist advisory firm helping businesses transform their operations through agreements. The firm offers corporate restructuring, corporate finance, forensic accounting, pension advisory and debt advisory services, while enjoying a strong reputation for creating, preserving and value recovery in a range of complex situations.

In the United Kingdom, the mergers and acquisitions market is still booming, after an exceptional year 2021. At the same time, with the withdrawal of the UK government’s Covid-19 support measures, it is starting to bite, increasing the demand for restructuring and administrative support. With FRP operating in these two markets, the company is experiencing a spike in demand.

As it seeks to respond to increased work in the south of England, FRP has announced the opening of a new premises in Southampton. The new location is in the heart of the city’s central business district, with modern workspaces, meeting rooms and collaboration spaces to support future expansion.

The hub will host the firm’s restructuring advisory teams and FRP Corporate Finance. FRP Corporate Finance entered into 104 corporate finance and debt advisory deals in 2021, with a total value of £2.5bn. As the organization’s 21 partners look to build on this success, new office manager Sandy Kinninmonth hopes the region will see the brand go from strength to strength.

Kinninmonth noted: “The launch of the new Southampton office is an exciting opportunity for FRP to expand its footprint on the south coast and we are already working to build a first-class team for the city. I will be joined by colleagues from our restructuring advisory and corporate finance teams, and we look forward to meeting and working with the region’s business community, providing the highest quality service to clients throughout continuing to drive the growth of FRP. It is a real pleasure to join FRP, which has unparalleled expertise, a reputation for exceptional customer service and a proven track record of delivering tangible results.

Joining FRP after a career spanning more than three decades providing restructuring advice to SMEs, owner-managed businesses and large corporations in the UK and Hong Kong, Kinninmonth leads the new office, located at Mountbatten House in Grosvenor Square. His experience ranges from advising on restructuring local owner-managed businesses to being appointed director of the multinational group of bars and restaurants Chiquito’s.

Jeremy French, COO at FRP, said: “Sandy brings a wealth of experience to this role and is ideally placed to lead our new team in Southampton. We are committed to providing industry-leading service to our clients during this critical time, while continuing to grow our practice in the region.
